Position Overview

CEA is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Group Accounts Payable Manager to oversee and manage the AP function for five legal entities. Reporting to the Group Finance Manager, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day AP operations, ensuring timely and accurate payments to suppliers, and maintaining the integrity of financial processes.

This is an exciting leadership opportunity for someone with a strong background in Accounts Payable, team management, and process improvement.

Essential Criteria
  • Demonstrated experience managing the AP function across multiple legal entities, systems, and work locations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the AP team (located in both Sydney and Perth), ensuring efficient and accurate processing of all Accounts Payable transactions.
  • Oversee the preparation and execution of supplier payments and reconciliations.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and relevant legislation.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the Accounts Payable function, optimizing processes and systems.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, ensuring effective communication and resolution of issues.
  • Collaborate closely with other departments to support business objectives.
  • Manage month-end and year-end AP closing activities, including account reconciliations and reporting.
  • Prepare and analyse AP reports for senior management, highlighting trends and areas for improvement.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and development opportunities to the Accounts Payable team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Key Requirements
  • Proven experience in an Accounts Payable leadership role, ideally in a group environment, with five or more years managing an AP team.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, accounts payable processes, and financial reporting.
  • Experience dealing with multiple systems and legal entities.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to drive process improvements and implement best practices.
