Banking Project Manager

Project description
Looking for experienced Banking Project Manager to play the role equivalent to Service Delivery Manager for a Core Banking Application for a Major Australian Bank. This role will include the management of internal and external stakeholders, management of a technical project team and liaising across multiple streams of work through a transformation program.Verbal and Written communications are a must to be able to interaction with Key Customer Representatives and Management.Focus will be on:1. BAU delivery of software product and SLAs2. Key delivery dates and meeting customer expectations for Business Projects3. Key delivery dates and outcomes for Transformation Program4. Ensuring that the objectives and outcomes are met within agreed timeframes, budget and quality outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Project Management- Coordinate and triage incoming work requests- Manage a team of onshore and offshore resourcesManage estimation and resource assignment- Create and manage Project Schedules- Perform regular risk assessment and risk management- Develop regular status reporting- Work closely with the project team, showing understanding of their competing priorities- Manage resource, project outcomes and BAU personnel to ensure they achieve SLAs- Manage project resources from scoping through to testing and implementation phases- Complete Project shutdown activities
SKILLS
Must have
- Mandatory Skills Description- 5-10 years experience in Project Management in a Banking Finance Domain- Demonstated record of running Managed Services agenda- a demonstrated record of successful delivery of projects- People and team leadership skills- Ability to work on multiple project assignments simultaneously- Solid knowledge of Banking and Finance industry- Strong Leadership and verbal and written communication skills- Disciplined and organized approach- Eagerness to learn, good initiative and flexibility- Eagerness to teach and to share their skills with team members
