Overview

Role: Asian Credit Correspondent, IFR. Location: Asia-based. Focus: offshore G3 bond market coverage, with ability to convey complex market moves clearly. Collaboration with teams across regions.

Responsibilities
  • Drive IFR's market-leading coverage of Asia's offshore G3 bond market from Asia.
  • Build strong relationships with market participants and explain trends and market moves clearly and accurately.
  • Utilise data analysis skills to inform reporting where applicable.
  • Collaborate with teams across countries and with London and New York teams as needed.
Qualifications
  • Good English skills and the ability to work under pressure to deadlines are essential.
  • Journalism experience is crucial; priority for candidates with experience covering financial markets.
  • Relevant qualifications in finance/economics are desirable but not essential.
  • Ability to generate fresh ideas and different angles.
  • Mandarin fluency is an advantage.
  • Teamwork and interpersonal skills are important in a multi-country team environment.
  • Demonstrates a level of subject matter expertise and understands how roles within the function connect.
Skills & Experience
  • Deep knowledge of technical discipline or specialism and ability to apply it to reporting across related issues.
  • Ability to adapt traditional approaches to solutions in different circumstances.
