The Team: The Scyne Enterprise Risk, Ethics & Compliance Manager (ERECM) forms part of the Enterprise Risk, Ethics and Compliance (EREC) function and reports to the Chief Risk & Ethics Officer (CREO). The ERECM supports Scyne to manage key risks to achieving strategic priorities, and helps develop capabilities to manage them. It leads and administers enterprise-wide risk, ethics, ESG, business continuity and crisis management, enterprise compliance (second line), oversees internal audit activities (third line), and delivers the overall risk strategy. This role develops, implements and maintains Scyne's enterprise risk, ethics and compliance matters, fostering a strong risk culture and a shared understanding of accountability and acceptable risk decisions.

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to Scyne's Strategic Direction and Outcomes: Support the CREO and contribute to the strategic direction across enterprise risk, ethics, ESG, compliance, business continuity and assurance programs, including overseeing external service providers as relevant; add value by supporting Scyne's clients, client services team, corporate functions, SLT, Board and sub-committees.
  • Contribute to, Maintain and Improve Scyne's Enterprise Risk Framework: Integrate, develop and improve enterprise-wide risk management, including the risk register and risk appetite statement; refresh documentation, risk profiles, tolerance measures; assess and monitor risk culture.
  • Policy Development and Implementation: Develop, review, and revise risk management, ethics and compliance policies with CREO; support governance documents as needed.
  • Compliance and Assurance Monitoring: Monitor compliance with external laws and internal policies and obligations to stakeholders.
  • Ethical Standards, Practice and Training: Promote a culture of ethics and compliance; create guidance materials, training programs, and resources to educate staff on the Code of Conduct; foster awareness and accountability.
  • Environment, Social and Governance (ESG): Develop ESG strategy, track initiatives, and support reporting requirements (including twice yearly Allegro Portfolio Company ESG reporting); participate in ESG forums.
  • Business Continuity, Crisis Management and Incident Management: Develop and manage Business Continuity and Crisis Management documentation, including policies, BCPs, impact assessments and incident playbooks; coordinate preparedness and response activities.

Technically, you will bring to the position

  • Ideally 6–10 years of governance, risk, audit and/or compliance experience—preferably in the public sector or a professional services environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in a business, governance, or risk-related field; post-graduate governance, risk and/or assurance qualifications desirable.
  • Proven ability to develop and manage risk and compliance frameworks to meet business needs and drive improvements.
  • Strong project management skills to coordinate multiple workstreams and meet deadlines.
  • Highly effective written and verbal communicator with the ability to influence across stakeholder groups.
  • Continuous learning mindset to stay informed of industry trends and developments affecting Scyne's services or internal practices.
