The Team

The Scyne Enterprise Risk, Ethics & Compliance Manager (ERECM) forms part of the 'Enterprise Risk, Ethics and Compliance' (EREC) function and reports directly to the Chief Risk & Ethics Officer (CREO). The ERECM works closely with internal stakeholders to support risk management and develop capabilities. It leads functions including enterprise-wide risk, ethics, ESG, business continuity, crisis management, compliance, internal audit oversight, and overall risk strategy.

This role is pivotal in developing and maintaining Scyne's enterprise risk, ethics, and compliance framework, fostering a strong risk culture that encourages transparency, accountability, and ethical decision-making.

The ERECM collaborates with the Chief Risk Office team, corporate areas, the Leadership Team, and external stakeholders such as advisors or consultants.

The Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the CREO and contributing to strategic planning, including risk, ethics, ESG, compliance, and assurance programs.
  • Developing relationships across the organization for advice and consultation on risk and compliance matters.
  • Supporting a positive risk and compliance culture and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Supporting the development and enhancement of the enterprise risk management framework and documentation.
  • Supporting enterprise risk assessments, mitigation strategies, and monitoring efforts.
  • Developing, reviewing, and implementing risk and compliance policies and ensuring effective communication.
  • Monitoring compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policies, and coordinating internal and external audits.
  • Supporting ethical standards, training, and creating awareness about the Code of Conduct.
  • Assisting with ESG strategy development and reporting.
  • Supporting business continuity, crisis management, and incident response planning and activities.
  • Preparing reports on risk, ethics, audit, ESG, and compliance activities for governance committees.
  • Driving operational efficiencies, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Technical skills and experience:

  • 6-10 years of governance, risk, audit, and/or compliance experience, preferably in the public sector or professional services.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, governance, risk, or related field; postgraduate qualifications are desirable.
  • Relevant professional certifications in risk, compliance, or audit.
  • Experience in developing risk and compliance frameworks and managing multiple projects.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Continuous learning mindset and awareness of industry trends.
