MCU Labour Hire is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Work Health & Safety (WHS) Auditor to conduct site audits across various client locations. The goal is to assess how safely our personnel are performing their duties on-site and ensure ongoing alignment with Chain of Responsibility (CoR) obligations, WHS legislation, and industry best practices.

This position will play a key role in MCU's broader internal risk management framework, helping us maintain a culture of safety, compliance, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct periodic WHS audits of MCU staff working at client sites (initial site: ACR).
  • Observe and evaluate daily work practices for compliance with WHS and CoR requirements.
  • Identify any WHS or CoR risks or breaches observed on-site.
  • Provide clear, actionable recommendations to improve safety and mitigate risk.
  • Highlight effective safety practices and areas where teams are performing well.
  • Prepare a comprehensive audit report following each visit, summarising:
  • Observations
  • Recommendations
  • Positive safety practices
  • Collaborate with MCU's internal teams to ensure follow-through on recommendations and continuous improvement.

Key Objectives:

  • Evaluate on-site performance of MCU personnel in relation to safety protocols.
  • Ensure MCU's ongoing compliance with relevant legislation and internal safety standards.
  • Enhance operational safety through regular feedback and practical recommendations.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience conducting WHS or CoR audits in logistics, warehousing, or related sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of WHS and Chain of Responsibility regulations and best practices.
  • Relevant qualifications in WHS, Risk Management, or a related field.
  • Strong communication and report-writing skills.
  • Independence, integrity, and a solution-focused mindset.
  • Ability to travel to various client sites as required.

Preferred:

  • Previous experience auditing labour hire teams in high-volume environments.
  • Previous experience with warehousing, logistics, or 3PL operations.
