About the role:

Our client is looking for a Consultant to join their team. The position will be responsible for planning & delivery of Data Engineering and Data Modelling services for specific accounts for their end Clients. The role may also support Pre-Sales and Business Development on our client's existing Industry Accounts and new channels.

As the Senior Consultant, you will have subject matter expertise area of end-to-end data management domain with a focus on data pipelining, modelling and analysis. You will have practical technical skills based on 7+ years' experience in a lead data engineer capacity focused on a number of technology stacks.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop ELT/ETL designs and data models for engagement involving data profiling, data migration, and end-to-end data management
  • Understand data migration process, analyse data via a query-based approach and code in time with the Informatica toolset.
  • With experience in the Data Management arena, you have hands-on experience in cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or GCP, especially in the data domain.
  • You will also have detailed experience and skills in traditional ELT/ELT technologies
  • You have a track record of client delivery, putting forward data solutions to meet client specific needs
  • You engage with clients utilising your excellent communication and presentation skills.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Banking or Financial experience is a MUST
  • Solid ETL skills for 5+ years and has experience with Informatica tool and/or Informatica certification.
  • Strong experience with traditional data platforms, (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, DB2)
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, OCI)
  • Deep understanding of ETL, ELT, data wrangling, data modelling, handling of streaming data
  • Good knowledge of one or multiple data programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Spark, Scala)
  • Proficient with software engineering practices (e.g., coding standards, unit testing, version control, code review and DevOps)
  • Experience with data toolsets and expertise in using SQL queries to analyse and profile datasets
  • Experience with popular SaaS data tools (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake, Informatica, Kafka )
  • Data integration with ERP or other systems is a plus
  • Awareness and understanding of data migration principles and processes including the ability to identify, define, document and communicate requirements
  • Technology stack certifications are highly desired

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant field
  • Graduate degree in Data Science or other quantitative field is preferred
