About the role: The Group Supply Chain(GSC) team is dedicated to creating greater value for our customers, suppliers, and projects at Ventia. To achieve this, we're introducing new Business Manager roles which sit on the GSC leadership team, reporting to our General Manager GSC. As a Business Manager, you'll serve as a crucial link between our suppliers and projects, leveraging your extensive business operations experience to expedite the implementation of specific category strategies. These roles are designed to influence and champion the enhanced value for our business and drive change and engagement through clear communication, commercial acumen and a collaborate approach to understanding business and customer needs that align with our long-term goals.

Full time permanent role, hybrid working with time in the office, on the road, and work from home. Flexible on office base, North Sydney or Melbourne preferred but open to consider other locations for the right individual. About you:
  • Prior hands-on experience in operations at a Contract or Project Director level or similar.
  • Demonstrated experience with complex, at scale, cost reduction, transformation programs.
  • Well-developed negotiation, communication, interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • Analytical individual with understanding of financial principles relating to procurement, supply chain and contracts.
  • Proven ability to think strategically, translate vision, overcome objections and bring stakeholders along the journey.
  • Exposure to change management and ability to align strategies to organisation goals.
  • High level of commercial acumen, championing a culture of collaboration.
