Little Feet Double Bay is seeking a passionate, confident, and innovative Assistant Centre Director to join our friendly team.

Little Feet Early Learning & Childcare Double Bay is a privately-owned, purpose-built centre that opened in July 2024 (Sister centre is in Waverley). Our 52-place centre is spread across three classrooms, is light-filled, and has become a second home to our children, families, and team.

We are focused on creating a positive, open, and honest environment for all our staff and recognize that our team is key in providing quality education to our children.

Position: Assistant Director (immediate start or can work with notice periods)

Hours: Full-time, flexible working hours - 5-day work week, or 4 long days - 38-hour week

More Information:

We are looking for an Assistant Director with some experience off the floor in an office environment. You will play a vital role in the Centre leadership team, supervising and mentoring other educators. Ideally, you will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in leadership. This is a dynamic role—part time in the office, part on the floor across all age groups.

Skills and Qualifications


• Minimum Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or ACECQA-recognised equivalent/higher qualification)


• Valid Working With Children Check


• First Aid Certificate, including asthma and anaphylaxis training


• Solid understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standard (NQS)


• Ability to support, mentor, and lead a team of educators (alongside Centre Manager)


• Competence in managing daily operations, from staffing and compliance to parent communication


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills


• Strong problem-solving abilities
