2026 Corporate Graduate Program - Finance

Melbourne, VIC, AU, 3000

About us:

At CitiPower, Powercor and United Energy, we're proud to deliver electricity to ~2 million Victorian customers every day through our network of poles and wires. But more than that, we're here to power communities, support local businesses and keep critical services running smoothly; we're essential to them all – and none of this happens without our people.

What's our Graduate Program about?

We are looking for curious minds across the fields of finance, commerce, accounting or similar areas to join us in February 2026.

Our award-winning two-year graduate program allows you to work alongside industry experts on real-world challenges. Through a series of rotations, you'll be exposed to different areas of our organisation, with an opportunity to test and build your skills, and take control of your career from day one.

Our finance graduates help us capture and analyse data essential for day-to-day reporting and medium to long term business decisions. We offer graduate placements across areas of financial accounting, finance business partnering, taxation, treasury and management reporting.

The program is designed to assist you with achieving Chartered Accounting/Certified Practicing Accounting status while developing extensive knowledge of the energy market industry.

We will work with you throughout the program to help you identify your preferred career pathway. At the end of the program, you will join a team in a permanent role that best matches your skills and career interests with business requirements and opportunities.

The graduate program really is just the start of your career with us

Why us?

We believe that what makes our graduate program unique is the way you're acknowledged as a critical part of the team – right from the start.

Join us, and from the outset, you'll be valued and rewarded for the skills and smarts you bring to the organisation, while being given the opportunity to take charge of your own career trajectory.

  • Be challenged. Help solve tomorrow's energy challenges, today.
  • Be impactful. Make a real-world impact from day one. Your work matters.
  • Be empowered. Shape your career path with varied rotation options.
  • Be supported. Great pay, valuable benefits, individualised career development and dedicated support for your health and wellbeing.
  • Be mentored. Work alongside and learn from the best in the business.

If you want to be part of something essential, be essential with us.

To be eligible to apply, you'll need to:

  • Graduate by the end of the 2025 academic year with a Bachelor or Master of Commerce or Business, with a major in Accounting, Finance, Economics or similar.
  • Be prepared to commence full-time employment in February 2026 located within Melbourne.
  • Hold Australian citizenship or permanent residency.
  • Have a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 / WAM of 75 (Distinction) or greater.
  • Be available to take part in an assessment day with us on Tuesday, 3 June 2025.

Your career with us:

We have a diversity of teams across our business, all contributing to great customer and community outcomes. Our people are our most important asset, and we continually invest in nurturing their capability.

With an embedded Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Strategy and initiatives like our Women in Power networking group, and Sparkle, our LGBTQIA+ allies pride network, we're committed to equal opportunities for all employees.

We are proud to be recognised as a WORK180 Endorsed Employer for all women for the fifth year running.

Apply now

Please ensure you include your cover letter, resume and most recent university transcript.

We encourage applications from all communities; people of all ages, genders, nationalities, abilities and cultures, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, the LGBTQIA+ community and people living with disability.

If you require adjustments as part of the recruitment process to accommodate your needs, please don't hesitate to discuss these with us.

Beon, CitiPower Powercor and United Energy recognise Australia's Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples as the First Peoples and Traditional Custodians of the lands on which we work.
