Speech Pathologist - Early Start Australia Graduate Program

We are looking for graduates who share our passion for making a difference and making therapy a fun, engaging and meaningful experience for families. You are enthusiastic and thrive in an environment that welcomes the fresh ideas you can bring to the wider team.

Overview

Early Start Australia is a national multidisciplinary Allied Health organisation with a focus on care for children. Our team includes Speech Pathologists, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists and Psychologists, offering therapies to support all ages, needs and abilities.

What Sets Our Graduate Program Apart
  • There is a smooth onboarding experience with a high level of supervision and ongoing support. You will have a caseload you can ease into and a dedicated buddy to help you settle in, along with fortnightly technical training to boost clinical skills and confidence.
  • You will be mentored by an experienced clinician delivering therapy in clinics, client homes and schools, and via telehealth. You'll also have 1-on-1 mentoring with a senior clinician to support your career ambitions.
  • Access to a wide network in our 45+ clinics nationally, providing opportunities to learn from skilled professionals across Australia.
  • Collaborative, multi-disciplinary teams that promote connection and holistic care through shared treatment plans.
  • Balanced work arrangements with a mix of in-clinic and community-based activity.
More Benefits For Our Grads
  • A collaborative service model that prioritises client-related activities while allowing time for extras to help achieve therapy goals.
  • Over 100 hours of rostered annual CPD opportunities, including monthly in-house training, daily team collaboration time, clinical meetings, paid professional development leave and a professional development allowance.
  • Up to 12 weeks of annual leave per year with an additional purchased leave program.
  • Reduced prices and benefits from groceries to movie tickets.
  • Generous paid parental leave.
  • Time allocated to therapy support activities to spend more time with clients and follow up, communicate and collaborate as needed.
Your role as a Speech Pathology Grad
  • Help children achieve development milestones such as communicating wants and needs to participate in everyday activities (e.g., playing with friends and family).
  • Educate and involve parents, carers and others around the child to support communication and language development.
  • Support children to speak with clear and correct pronunciation so that others can understand them.
  • Treat stuttering and articulation disorders to promote fluent and confident speech.
  • Address literacy, reading and writing difficulties in collaboration with teachers and schools.
  • Teach children skills to manage a wide range of food and drinks safely.
About Our Grads
