Overview

Denver Technology has an opening in their IT/OT engineering team for a Network Engineer. The successful applicants will be focused on the design and implementation of routing, switching and firewalls, as well as some security design along with contributing to larger project designs and deployments.

The position is primarily centered around project deployment and consulting tasks involving the upgrade, remediation, review and analysis of IT and OT environments, systems and infrastructure within their area(s) of expertise. A Network Engineer has technical and project experience with the ability to complete large (1-2 resource) projects with minimal guidance/oversight from senior resources along with the ability to complete design and pre-sales activities for large engagements.

Work can be conducted onsite at client locations or remote from the Denver Technology offices with some minimal travel required. The role is primarily Perth based, but minor travel and on-site work with customers will be required periodically. There is no on-call requirement for this role, but some after-hours work is required for deployment activities.

Only candidates based in Western Australia or Queensland will be considered.

Qualifications
  • At least 4 years relevant experience & required knowledge.
  • Bachelor's degree, Tafe IT Certificate IV+ or equivalent demonstrable experience.
  • Associate Level Technical industry/vendor certification (Active) E.g., CCNA, JNCIA, Microsoft Associate level etc
  • Knowledge/experience in a second area from the primary area of technical specialisation
  • Experienced in the creation of Detailed Design/High-Level Design (HLD)/Low-Level Design Documents
  • General knowledge of the principles of secure IT/OT environment, network, and systems design
  • Experienced in providing technical consulting expertise to organisations
  • Experienced in project scoping and pre-sales estimations along with writing/contributing to sections of project proposal documents
  • Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
Preferred
  • Experience in the design, deployment, and support of Operational Technology/Industrial Networks
  • Experience in the review and analysis of existing IT/OT environments, systems and infrastructure on area of expertise
  • Experience in reading and interpreting infrastructure and engineering diagrams and extrapolating system requirements and technical queries
  • Previous onsite deployment and/or support experience at Mining, Resource, Industrial and/or Oil & Gas sites/facilities
