The Korin Gamadji Programs Manager leads the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of all Korin Gamadji programs. The role is responsible for managing the program team to ensure meaningful experiences and outcomes for participants, authentic impact for community, and strong results for partners. The Programs Manager oversees program processes, curriculum, reporting, and stakeholder engagement, ensuring Korin Gamadji remains a trusted and effective leader in Indigenous youth development. The Programs Manager must maintain strong relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community organisations, secondary schools, Club partners, and AFLVic, and conduct community consultations with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to ensure programs are co-designed and Indigenous led. The position also supports the Club's Dreamtime campaign, Reconciliation Action Plan, and other reconciliation-based initiatives.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

Responsibilities
  • Program Leadership & Delivery – Design, deliver, and continually improve Korin Gamadji programs, ensuring quality, cultural safety, child safeguarding, and responsible budget management.
  • Internal Collaboration & Club Initiatives – Provide cultural guidance, lead Indigenous activations, and contribute to Richmond match days, events, and broader Club projects.
  • Community Engagement & Growth – Strengthen connections with Indigenous and wider community groups, support activation of Punt Road Oval/Yarra Park, and assist in developing new programs and projects.
  • People Management – Recruit, induct, and manage program casuals; lead and support the development of junior KG staff; ensure compliance with Club HR policies, workplace health and safety standards, and risk management processes.
  • Partnerships & Stakeholder Relations – Build and manage relationships with key partners, oversee agreements, ensure reporting to funders, and support new funding and partnership opportunities.
  • Governance & Club Commitments – Uphold child safety standards, contribute to the Reconciliation Action Plan, and support broader social and environmental responsibilities of the Club.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in designing, delivering, and evaluating youth programs, with a strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander young people.
  • Demonstrated leadership and people management skills, with experience managing staff and volunteers in inclusive and collaborative ways.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Education, Community Development, Program Management, or related fields.
  • Proven ability to build positive relationships with diverse stakeholders, supported by strong interpersonal, communication, and cultural competency skills.
  • Highly organised and adaptable, with strong process development, problem-solving, and time management capabilities to meet competing demands and deadlines.
  • Passion for the role of sport in community development with alignment to the values and work of Richmond Football Club.

In 2011, Wurundjeri Elders gifted these words to the Richmond Football Club, and the Korin Gamadji was established.
