Remuneration: Level C from $155,403 / Level D from $185,917 plus 17% super

Role and Responsibilities

We are seeking a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer to join the School of Science and contribute to strengths in experimental condensed matter physics. In this role you will:

• Combine research and teaching to make a meaningful impact
• Contribute to curriculum design and course delivery
• Build a vibrant research portfolio and publish high-quality work
• Apply for grants and supervise students
• Participate in the administration and collegial life of the School

This position will be filled at Academic Level C or Level D, depending on experience.

Who You Are (Skills and Experience)At Senior Lecturer Level C

• PhD in experimental condensed matter physics or related discipline
• Expertise in cryogenic techniques and low-temperature measurements
• Demonstrated track record in experimental condensed matter physics research
• Ability to support and inspire students
• Experience in teaching and learning design across undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels
• Experience with educational technologies and online delivery
• Experience in curriculum development and improvement
• Experience recruiting and supervising high-calibre students
• Ability to interact with profession and industry and attract funding for learning and teaching initiatives

Associate Professor Level D (in addition to Level C skills)

• Experience with industry or work-integrated learning
• Professional development of teaching practice and leadership of inclusive excellence in learning and teaching
• Highly developed interpersonal and organisational skills
• Significant track record in research leadership with international impact
• Leadership in building engagement and partnerships with profession and industry
