Operations Manager

Our client, a leader in their field throughout Australia, is seeking a dedicated and experienced individual to join the team in the role of Operations Manager. As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations and logistics of the organisation, ensuring efficient and effective processes are in place to support the company's objectives.

• Manage and oversee all operational activities, including production, distribution, inventory, and quality control;
• Provide leadership, guidance and support to the production teams in the day to day processing of the company's products;
• Develop and implement operational strategies, policies, and procedures to improve efficiency and productivity;
• Coordinate and optimise the flow of materials, resources, and information to meet customer demands;
• Analyse operational data, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions;
• Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and finance, to ensure alignment and cross-functional coordination;
• Maintain compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards;
• Continuously seek opportunities to innovate and streamline operations.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar operations management role, preferably in the FMCG manufacturing or processing sector, with an in-depth knowledge of LEAN manufacturing and HACCP principles;
• Strong understanding of operational processes, supply chain management, and logistics in food processing highly desirable;
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills;
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, with effective communication and interpersonal skills;
• Experience in implementing operational improvements and driving process optimisation;
• Proficient in using relevant software and technology to support operations;
• Tertiary qualification in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management or a related field is desirable.
