About the Role

The Head of Educational Excellence drives the strategic direction of pedagogy and quality across our services. As a key member of the Children\'s Services Senior Leadership Team, this role champions high-quality service delivery, implements innovative and evidence-based practices, and achieves portfolio KPIs related to educational practice and pedagogy. Working closely with the Executive Lead, Children\'s Services, you will lead quality uplift and embed exceptional educational practices across the organisation. This includes designing and delivering professional learning, mentoring Educational Leaders and centre-based teams, leading research partnerships and projects, and contributing to the development of internal policies.

Responsibilities
  • Lead quality uplift in educational practice across the organisation.
  • Design and deliver professional learning for staff and centre teams.
  • Mentor Educational Leaders and centre-based teams.
  • Lead research partnerships and projects to inform practice.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of internal policies.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Leadership Team to achieve portfolio KPIs related to education and pedagogy.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Bachelor of Education or equivalent ACECQA Recognised Early Childhood Teacher level Qualification
  • Clear WWCC (Working with Children Check) clearance
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Extensive senior leadership experience in Early Education and Care
  • Extensive knowledge of Education and Care Services National Regulations and the National Quality Framework (NQF)
  • Strong knowledge of contemporary pedagogical practices, child development, and theoretical foundations in early childhood education
  • Experience evaluating knowledge, analysing data, and formulating improvement strategies
  • Experience developing, leading, and nurturing high-performing teams
