Summary

Freeway Corporation is seeking a detail-oriented Cost Estimator to add to our purchasing team. The Cost Estimator will gather data, and calculate costs associated with materials, labor, and production processes. This position interacts internally with all departments, raw material and outside processing vendors to develop accurate cost estimates. This role also include some responsibility for the purchase of raw material, purchased component, outside processing services, lab services, MRO & office supplies, and miscellaneous products and services.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze blueprints, specifications, and customer proposals to prepare cost estimates
  • Engage with material and outside processing suppliers for quotations
  • Maintaining outside process pricing in ERP system and working with suppliers on outside process pricing issues
  • Prepare and provide detailed cost analysis reports to management
  • Maintain cost databases and track changes in production costs

Requirements

  • Experience in manufacturing
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
