Overview

Data Quality Lead role at GHD. Drive data quality initiatives within the Data Management Office, contribute to the Enterprise Data Management Platform strategy, and implement best‑practice data quality processes across GHD. Establish, uplift, and train teams on enterprise data management procedures and processes.

Responsibilities
  • Develop, document, and maintain data quality processes and standards aligned to GHD's data management strategy; drive adoption in line with the Data Management Office vision.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders to secure buy‑in at key decision points for rollout, training, and sustainability of data quality processes across business units and data domains.
  • Contribute to the establishment and management of data issue management frameworks to address and resolve data quality issues.
  • Develop training guides and documentation for data quality processes and tools; provide training to business units on data quality standards and best practices.
  • Ensure periodic review and upkeep of all data quality management policies, processes, and artefacts.
  • Advance proactive data quality and data observability initiatives across GHD data assets, including the Data Lake/Warehouse and other applications.
  • Develop and maintain an enterprise data quality rule repository, and mentor technical stewards in creating business‑unit‑specific data quality controls.
  • Partner with the Data Management Architect and broader data leadership to ensure alignment with enterprise data goals.
What you will bring to the team
  • Outstanding communication capabilities, with a track record of effectively engaging and influencing stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to drive change across the organization, with effective stakeholder engagement aligned to data management goals.
  • Ability to articulate a clear vision for data quality programs and maintain an agile mindset for timely execution, even in greenfield environments.
  • Relevant certifications such as DCAM, CDMP, or other recognized credentials from respected data management bodies.
Qualifications
  • Tertiary degree in Computing, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of data quality experience within a large and/or global professional services organization.
  • Experience defining and implementing data quality processes, standards, guidelines, and best practices.
  • Track record translating business problems into actionable data quality initiatives.
  • Hands‑on experience designing, deploying, and managing data quality procedures and outputs using industry‑standard SaaS platforms such as Informatica (IDMC/IDQ) and Ataccama.
  • Solid understanding of adjacent data management disciplines, including metadata management, data lineage, data cataloguing, ownership, and stewardship.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure or other major cloud providers, and exposure to integrating enterprise applications such as Salesforce, SAP, and Power BI.
  • Exposure to data architecture and modelling concepts, with practical experience querying databases/SQL.
