About the business: Six Degrees Executive is proudly partnering with Gym BOD, a founder-led business changing the "better for you" category by bringing to life premium protein-centric dessert offerings that don't compromise on taste. Entering a new exciting growth stage with a relocation to Melbourne, a fantastic newly created role owning product development and innovation thinking has been created, inheriting a hugely successful, nationally ranging portfolio and really driving that into its next phase, a real "start up with scale".

About the role

This newly created role will own the commercialisation process and innovation thinking, partnering across the business to ensure great ideas are critically assessed, developed and hit the shelf. You\'ll be the custodian of the Stage Gate process and ensure commercial return on NPD projects, working across a range of frozen, chilled and ambient products. What else?

  • You'll partner with a mix of in house and co-man partners working across line extensions, renovations and flavour rotates
  • Initially standalone, this role has management potential with ambition to grow the innovation function
  • You'll get real-time exposure to the commercial side of the business, from major customers and retailers to ownership of R&D budget
What we are looking for

At it's core, this role will suit a well rounded innovation/NPD leader who\'s progressed from hands-on development to bigger picture strategic thinking. What does this look like?

  • Commercial conversations with retailers and suppliers are well within your wheelhouse. You speak the language of manufacturing partnerships and range reviews
  • Equally, you\'re prepared to "roll up your sleeves" and get into the granular around COGS, value creation and packaging, your bread and butter is product and project management
  • We\'re category agnostic insofar as desired profile, yet exposure within dairy is considered an added bonus
  • You\'re either an existing functional Manager, or someone who\'s something of a subject matter expert in a larger structure who\'s ready to "own" their own space.
