The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Safety and Wellbeing Advisor to join our Operations team in Moorabbin. You will play a vital role in driving the Safety and Wellbeing Framework and Strategic Plan into Rheem, Moorabbin.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, your passion and energy for Work Health and Safety will help you lead and coordinate projects and initiatives including operational safety innovation, risk management and employee wellbeing programs.

You will also collaborate with the Group Safety and Wellbeing Manager to promote and support our 'Safe & Well Every Day at Rheem' vision. By consulting and engaging with managers and employees, you will strengthen and build their safety and wellbeing capability through coaching, provision of information, support, and training.

This role is initially being offered on a 12-month fixed-term basis, with the potential to transition into a permanent position based on performance and business needs.

About You

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Previous experience in a WHS Advisor role
• Formal qualifications in Workplace Health and Safety, or working towards
• Ability to work across various departments and stakeholders
• Knowledge of State WHS and regulations and codes of practice
• A strong communications track record both written and verbal
• Experience with management systems including cloud-based platforms
• A high level of self-motivation, time management and organisational ability
• An energetic go-getter that is pragmatic and determined whilst being respectfully open and considerate to new approaches and the opinions of others.
  
  

The Following Are a Bonus But Not Essential

• Experience in manufacturing, logistics or high-risk environment
• Return to Work Coordinator training
• Experience with internal or external safety auditing
