Commercial Analyst

The Commercial Analyst is a key strategic role within the finance team, responsible for enhancing financial visibility and supporting high-impact commercial decisions. Reporting to the CFO and working closely with executive leadership you will deliver actionable insights, build robust financial models and drive performance across the group.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain advanced financial models to support forecasting and strategic planning
- Design and manage Power BI dashboards to deliver real-time performance insights across the group
- Conduct ROI analysis and evaluate key performance metrics to support investment and operational decisions
- Collaborate with the CFO on strategic projects including refinancing, monetisation events and capital structure optimisation
- Analyse large datasets to identify trends, performance drivers, and commercial opportunities
- Integrate financial modelling with business intelligence tools to support budgeting and forecasting
- Provide commercial analysis to evaluate business unit performance and identify cost efficiencies
- Partner with cross-functional teams to align financial insights with operational goals
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data used in reporting and decision-making
- Contribute to continuous improvement of financial systems, reporting frameworks and analytical capabilities
- Assist in preparing board-level presentations and investor materials
- Support treasury functions including cash flow forecasting and funding strategy
- Stay current with industry trends, financial regulations and best practices in corporate finance
- Expertise in financial modelling and commercial analysis, with advanced Excel and Power BI (including DAX) skills and the ability to build and interpret complex models for forecasting and strategic planning.
- Proven experience in corporate finance, transactions, or advisory, with strong commercial acumen and the ability to evaluate ROI and business performance in a high-growth or data-rich environment.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret large datasets, identify performance drivers, and deliver insights that inform executive-level decisions.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and collaborate effectively across finance, operations and executive teams.
- Adaptability and initiative, with a continuous improvement mindset and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-performance environment aligned with organisational values.
