Details: Business, Communications and Engagement (BCE) is seeking a dynamic and suitably qualified professional to support the ACT Government in driving economic diversification, strengthening the ACT economy, and fostering a vibrant, inclusive community that attracts and retains talent in our city.

As part of the Sector Development team, you will play a pivotal role in designing and delivering programs that support small and medium enterprises, entrepreneurs, start-ups, scale-ups, social enterprises, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander businesses. Your work will contribute directly to accelerating growth and diversification across priority sectors of the economy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement initiatives that support business growth and innovation.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to strengthen Canberra's enterprise business ecosystem.
  • Facilitate programs that promote diversity, inclusion, and sustainability in economic development.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and policy development aligned with ACT Government priorities.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking a motivated and experienced professional to join our friendly, and high-performing team, contributing to the delivery of the ACT Government's long-term economic development priorities. We are keen to build our capability and are particularly interested in candidates with relevant industry experience and a strong understanding of the ACT's priority sectors. You'll be comfortable engaging with technical detail while maintaining a clear focus on the priorities of industry and government. Your ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels will ensure that key issues are addressed and communicated succinctly to Senior Executives and Ministers.

At BCE, we foster a culture that supports individual success, encourages innovative thinking, and prioritises continuous improvement. We offer learning and development opportunities aligned with your career goals.

Eligibility/Other Requirements: Experience in leading and motivating teams to achieve high-quality outcomes, along with a background in contract management, is highly desirable.
