Overview

Harbour Rocks Hotel is seeking a full-time Maintenance Supervisor to join the team, reporting to the General Manager. This role is ideal for a Duty Technician looking to step into leadership and take on responsibility for the hotel's maintenance.

Role: Maintenance Supervisor

Responsibilities and duties include:

  • Undertaking general repairs and maintenance, including preventative maintenance
  • Servicing plant and general equipment as directed
  • Troubleshooting and repairing equipment, plumbing and electrical systems
  • Painting and gardening duties
  • General carpentry
  • Purchasing and administration
  • Coordinating and communicating with guests, customers and third-party contractors to resolve maintenance issues
Skills & Experience
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Clear understanding of Workplace Health and Safety practices
  • Ability to assist other operational areas of the hotel if required
  • Ability to work unsupervised and collaborate with other departments
  • Ability to work quickly and efficiently to a high standard
  • Solid customer service and computer skills with the ability to learn new systems
  • Strong communication skills, including fluent written and spoken English
