Rehabilitation Consultant

We are seeking individuals with a professional background in Occupational Therapy interested in working in the Occupational Rehabilitation sector in Orange NSW.
In this diverse role, you will have the flexibility and autonomy to manage your own day, with support from a strong, close team of driven and energetic healthcare professionals with the backing and resources of a global corporate infrastructure. You will provide occupational rehabilitation services to clients with a range of physical and psychological conditions and support them to achieve return to health and return to work outcomes.
Responsibilities- Case management with manageable caseloads and support from Rehabilitation Assistants to alleviate administrative tasks
- Apply clinical knowledge to improve return to work outcomes
- Work with employers and employees to develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs
- Collaborate with injured workers, employers, medical and allied health professionals
- Work across schemes such as workers compensation, compulsory third party, life insurance, Comcare, Department of Veteran's Affairs, and employer-funded injury prevention programs
- Assist those with an injury or health condition to achieve return to health and return to work outcomes
- Complete a variety of assessments using clinical skills, including initial, workplace and vocational assessments to review diagnosis, support treatment plans, address psychosocial barriers to employment and identify suitable employment opportunities
- Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy registered with AHPRA
- Previous experience in Occupational Rehabilitation is highly regarded
- Strong communication skills
- Compassion, kindness and empathy
- Well-developed time management skills
- Current NSW Driver's Licence and access to own car with comprehensive insurance
