Job Description
AWS Security seeks a highly talented and motivated Physical Security Analyst to design secure facilities and enhance the physical security program. Responsibilities include designing low-voltage systems, collaborating with architectural and engineering teams to ensure security best practices, integrating new systems into build plans, and coordinating with security leaders to understand and implement security system designs while adhering to approved products lists. The candidate will interpret Risk Assessments, Threat Analyses, and Physical Security Standards to select appropriate security technologies for sensitive programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead physical security architecture for sensitive projects.
- Create detailed security system designs and ensure compliance with policies and frameworks.
- Provide expertise to support security leadership and teams, focusing on physical security.
- Manage risk, threat, and vulnerability assessments related to physical and protective security.
- Implement security deliverables, including audits and assessments.
- Prepare executive reports, briefings, and documentation for governance bodies.
- Develop and review security policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.
- Identify vulnerabilities and advise on security risk remediation for new assets.
- Collaborate with stakeholders internally and externally to ensure compliance, e.g., PSPF and ISM.
Hold or be able to attain an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency clearance (details here).
A Day in the Life
Engineers must demonstrate sound judgment, resilience, and tact in balancing security and business goals. They should be adept at analyzing performance, understanding AWS's interconnected environment, and mentoring others. The role requires broad security knowledge and the ability to navigate complex situations effectively.

Minimum Qualifications
- Experience in the Physical/Electronic Security systems industry.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience gathering requirements and creating detailed documentation.
- Experience with security systems.
