What you'll do
  • Be a trusted team member and influencer, helping to enhance the safety culture and boost performance across the team.
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships that support the growth of meaningful health and safety values.
  • Lead real safety conversations, encouraging accountability and making safety personal.
  • Facilitate incident investigations, ensuring contributing factors are identified and smart actions are developed to improve risk controls to prevent repeat events.
  • Conduct assurance activities to monitor compliance, participate in audits, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Be an active participant in local WHS committees and engage with the local HSRs to maximise consultation opportunities to help shape a safety-first culture.
What you bring
  • Minimum Diploma level qualifications in work, health and safety and relevant trade-based qualifications or equivalent.
  • 5 years+ demonstrated experience as a safety professional or advisor in high-risk industries.
  • Proven experience and qualifications in undertaking investigations through methodologies such as Incident Casual Analysis Method (ICAM).
  • Proven experience in the implementation and delivery of safety strategies, policies, frameworks, systems and processes.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of safety theory and practice across complex multi-site businesses.
  • Demonstrated experience in influencing and coaching a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills and a proven ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organisation.
  • Valid driver's licence.
