We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Health and Safety Coordinator to join our team. Reporting to the Health, Safety, and Training (HST) Manager, this critical role will support the implementation and management of Health and Safety systems, procedures, and policies, ensuring compliance with legal and company requirements. This is a permanent, full-time position offering a competitive remuneration package, including performance-based bonuses and opportunities for professional development. Responsibilities
  • Develop, implement, and maintain Health and Safety systems to meet legal and company standards.
  • Provide training for the provision of accurate records of incidents, accident investigations and other legally required Health & Safety documentation.
  • Provide advice and support in the implementation of Health and Safety Systems, Procedures, and Policies including incident investigation, risk management.
  • Provide all employees with adequate skills & knowledge regarding safe systems of work, policies & procedures to enable them to carry out their work in a safe, accident-free environment.
  • Develop and implement health and safety initiatives across the site to continuously improve health and safety processes and performance.
  • Develop and implement Emergency Response and Crisis Management Plans and oversee training and preparedness for the Emergency Response Team.
About you
  • Have at least three years' experience in a similar role.
  • You will have tertiary qualifications in Workplace Health and Safety or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting incident investigations.
  • You will have thorough knowledge and understanding of NSW WHS legislation.
  • You have a high regard for your personal safety and the safety of your teammates.
  • You have the ability to follow a plan and the resilience to adapt to a constantly changing environment.
  • You demonstrate a positive attitude, reliability, and commitment to working proactively.
  • You will be a team player with a high level of safety awareness, an attitude for outstanding performance, and a willingness to contribute to a winning team.
