The Opportunity

We are looking for a driven accountant with a solid grasp of Australian tax and a proactive mindset to join our Esperance team. We welcome candidates with more experience (intermediate or senior level). Flexible arrangements include part-time or full-time options with room to tailor the role around your lifestyle.

Responsibilities
  • Lead by example, demonstrating excellence in client service and teamwork
  • Deliver accurate tax estimates and tax planning for clients
  • Prepare accurate BAS, financial statements, and tax returns
  • Provide high-quality client service and maintain strong relationships
  • Be coached by senior team members and share knowledge with the team
  • Develop skills through diverse client projects in a supportive environment
  • Own high-value client relationships and provide strategic tax and business advisory services
Senior Accountant Responsibilities
  • Perform core responsibilities listed above including client service, tax planning, and preparation of BAS, financials, and tax returns
  • Take ownership of high-value client relationships and provide strategic advisory services
  • Mentor and develop junior team members while managing complex client portfolios
  • Lead key client projects autonomously and ensure outcomes meet strategic goals
  • Refine business processes and contribute to the firm\'s client services development
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to drive business growth
About You

You thrive in a small team built on honesty, integrity, respect, and accountability. You communicate effectively, deliver accurate and timely results, and maintain attention to detail. You are flexible, collaborative, and focused on client needs.

Ideal Candidate
  • Experience in public practice
  • Working toward or completed CA/CPA qualification
  • Strong communication skills with clients and team
  • Proficiency in compliance tasks, reconciliation, and tax planning
  • Efficient at coordinating tasks to meet deadlines
  • Desire for career growth within a supportive team
  • Flexibility to contribute to additional tasks as needed
  • Able to adapt to new systems and maintain data accuracy in a fast-paced environment
