Overview

Front End Software Engineer

Domain is a leading property technology and services marketplace in Australia, hosting major brands such as Domain, Allhomes, and Commercial Real Estate (CRE). In 2025, Domain became part of CoStar Group. As an Engineer in our Audience division, you'll contribute to innovation and excellence within our engineering team, coding, reviewing, and architecting solutions using React, NodeJS, TypeScript, and mobile frameworks. You'll collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to align software solutions with business goals, mentor juniors, and champion best practices.

Responsibilities
  • Develop scalable, reliable, and high-performance software in partnership with your team.
  • Stay current with technology trends and apply responsible engineering principles to drive innovation.
  • Adhere to engineering best practices and participate in cross-domain forums (FrontEnd and Architecture Guilds).
  • Collaborate with Product Owners and Designers to deliver customer-focused solutions.
  • Participate in on-call rotations, respond to incidents, and proactively improve system reliability.
  • Continuously refine processes to improve software quality and reduce incidents.
Qualifications
  • Strong experience with React, NodeJS, and/or TypeScript.
  • Proven ability to design and build scalable, maintainable software solutions.
  • Collaborative mindset and excellent communication skills.
  • Passion for staying up-to-date with tech trends and applying best practices.
  • Commitment to operational excellence, including incident response and system maintenance.
