Come and be a part of our centre of roads excellence.

Join us in building better connections for Victoria by:

  • Providing high quality and pragmatic legal advice, focused primarily on project development, procurement, delivery, contracting and interfaces.
  • Managing, mentoring, and guiding other legal team members and undertaking people management responsibilities as required.
  • Collaborating with the Commercial and Legal team, and the broader multi-disciplinary project team, to provide best-for-project solutions.
  • Managing internal and external legal resources and engaging with and influencing senior decision makers.
  • Contributing to procurement and contract management tools, standard forms and briefing documents.
About you

You are:

  • A construction, projects or infrastructure specialist, with extensive experience in contracting and delivery of large, complex projects. Experience with complex collaborative contracting models preferred.
  • A natural leader – you have experience in managing teams (formally or informally) to achieve best-for-project outcomes. Experience in managing external legal advisors would be a bonus.
  • A true collaborator – your expert communication and stakeholder management skills ensure a cohesive and collaborative approach in managing complex legal matters in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Well-versed in managing contractual matters (including drafting and claims) and other complex legal matters throughout the development and delivery of infrastructure projects.

This opportunity is a 6 month fixed term, backfilling a period of parental leave.

What can we offer you?
  • MRPV welcomes flexible working arrangements, including part-time arrangements; discuss your preferences with our Talent Acquisition Team.
  • Access to annual health checks, including skin checks and flu shots.
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for confidential counselling and advice for you and your family.
