Your Role

Join our Casualty Underwriting team as a Lead Liability Underwriter. You will assess and manage liability risks, aligning with our business strategy, risk appetite, and regulatory standards. Key responsibilities include driving growth and profitability of our liability portfolio, assessing and pricing moderate to complex risks, applying targeted underwriting strategies, and supporting operational activities such as credit management and servicing.

You will collaborate with internal teams and intermediaries, lead the use of rating tools, and mentor junior team members, contributing to portfolio performance and team success.

About Our Team

This is a full-time permanent position based in Sydney, Gadigal Country.

About You
  • Familiarity with insurance legal and regulatory environments, risk analysis, and selection.
  • Intermediate knowledge of pricing, portfolio management, and intermediary account management.
  • Experience with reinsurance and comprehensive understanding of insurance products and features.
  • Strong strategic development skills.
  • Liability underwriting or broking experience is required.
