We are currently looking for a hardworking and enthusiastic Apprentice Baker to join our team at Bakers Delight Wallan.

If you love early mornings, earning a crust, and doing a job you love, you might be the perfect fit for us Learn to mix, process, and scratch bake a full range of traditional, artisan, and sweet doughs, including sourdoughs, poolish, and continental breads.

Responsibilities of our Bakers include:

  • Baking and presenting quality products to meet customer needs
  • Maintaining cleanliness and safety in the bakery
  • Providing excellent customer service when required
  • Assisting with stock control and managing production expenses

To be considered, you should:

  • Have a passion for baking
  • Be willing to undertake an apprenticeship or have completed relevant training, or already be Trade Qualified
  • Be a morning person, as most shifts start from 4am
  • Possess a positive attitude, enjoy working in a team, and be eager to learn new skills
  • Be willing to work hard and get your hands dirty
  • Have basic literacy and numeracy skills

*Eligibility for an Australian Apprenticeship requires Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency. Apprentices will receive formal training and support from day one.
