The Opportunity

This is a great opportunity for an experienced HR generalist to step into a varied and hands-on role within a high-performing HR team.

Offered as a labour hire contract, there is potential for extension depending on business needs.

You'll enjoy working in a supportive and professional environment where your contributions genuinely matter. This role offers variety and the chance to build your skills across the full HR spectrum, including payroll coordination.

You'll work alongside an experienced team that values collaboration and ongoing development, with access to training and opportunities to broaden your public sector expertise.

The Role

Key duties include:

  • Providing advice and support on HR processes and policies
  • Assisting with recruitment, onboarding, and contract administration
  • Coordinating with the shared services provider for payroll matters (DISR)
  • Supporting workforce reporting and HR data management
  • Responding to HR and payroll-related queries
  • Contributing to process improvements and documentation

The Ideal Person

You're a confident and capable HR generalist, working at the APS4 or APS5 level, who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

You bring solid experience in HR operations and ideally have exposure to Aurion payroll and reporting. If you haven't worked directly in payroll before, that's not a barrier, training will be provided.

You're someone who enjoys working collaboratively, builds strong working relationships easily, and is keen to contribute wherever needed to support the success of the team.

Salary / Rate

  • $45/hr - $55/hr + Super
  • 3-month labour hire contract
