Overview

headspace is the National Youth Mental Health Foundation. headspace Port Macquarie NSW team is seeking expressions of interest from Registered Psychologists with Full AHPRA registration to provide private practice services to young people aged 12-25 referred to headspace Port Macquarie.

These roles offer flexibility to maintain existing private or public work while providing contracted services for as little as one day per week. There is an amazing multidisciplinary team; referrals with no rent charges and allocated office space. No fees for rent, with administrative and IT support.

What You'll Be Doing

You will provide high standard, person-centered counselling and focused psychological strategies to young people with mental health concerns, working with the multidisciplinary team as needed to coordinate care. As a contractor, you will have a referral base of young people who have been assessed and are ready to access services. You will be supported with:

  • Full administrative support (reception, billings, appointment bookings and reminder service)
  • Fully web-based medical record software with IT support
  • Co-located General Practitioners
  • Access to Psychiatry services
Qualifications

Fully registered and experienced Psychologists who are passionate about improving youth health and wellbeing.

  • Approved tertiary qualification in Psychology, with current unrestricted AHPRA registration
  • Eligibility to provide Medicare Benefits Schedule services
  • Willingness to undergo or provide full compliance documents including current Police Check, Working with Children's Check
  • Your own equipment (unless specified in your agreement)
  • Proof of professional indemnity insurance and ABN
