A prominent government-backed development organisation is seeking an experienced Senior Development Manager to lead the delivery of major urban transformation projects across NSW. This is a unique opportunity to drive impactful development outcomes that blend commercial performance with community benefit and sustainability.

You will take ownership of complex, precinct-scale projects—guiding them from strategic planning through to approvals, construction, and sales—while collaborating closely with government stakeholders, consultants, and community groups.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end project delivery, including strategy, planning proposals, feasibility, design, and construction
• Lead internal and external teams to ensure delivery to time, cost, and quality objectives
• Prepare and assess financial models including cash flow, IRR, and project profitability
• Drive governance and compliance across WHS, sustainability, and environmental standards
• Influence planning outcomes through concept plans, rezonings, DCPs, and infrastructure strategies
• Engage with local councils, state agencies, utility providers, and the community to align on key outcomes
• Deliver project updates and reporting to senior internal and inter-agency forums

About You

• 8+ years' experience delivering complex development projects (residential, urban renewal, or mixed-use)
• Strong understanding of NSW planning systems and government development processes
• Skilled in consultant and contractor management, financial analysis, and risk assessment
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Tertiary qualifications in property, planning, construction, architecture, or related fields
