WHO YOU ARE

You are an experienced contracts professional with a strong background in construction and commercial project delivery. You understand how to manage procurement, assess risk, and ensure compliance with contract terms.

  • Bachelor's or postgraduate qualification in Law, Engineering, Construction Management or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior contracts management role within the construction industry
  • Strong working knowledge of head and subcontract agreements, construction law, and procurement processes
  • Skilled in managing contract negotiations, claims, variations, and dispute resolution
  • Experience with contract compliance, financial controls, and reporting
  • Capable of reviewing scope documentation and overseeing the tendering process
  • Proficient in Jobpac, Microsoft Office, and construction management tools
  • Well-organised, with strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

WHAT YOU'LL DO

As Contracts Manager, you will oversee contract administration and procurement activities, ensuring commercial and contractual obligations are met and risks are effectively managed.

  • Manage the full contract lifecycle from tender to execution and finalisation
  • Lead contract negotiations, administration of claims, variations, and final accounts
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project objectives and timelines
  • Coordinate tender documentation preparation, evaluation, and award of subcontract packages
  • Identify and mitigate commercial risks, resolving contractual issues as they arise
  • Maintain accurate contract records and support financial reporting and audits
  • Work closely with project teams, consultants, subcontractors, and legal advisors
  • Provide leadership and support to Contracts Administrators and other team members
  • Maintain clear and professional communication with all stakeholders
