Overview

Machinist Apprentice – Mechanical (Machining) role at BAE Systems Australia, based at Edinburgh Parks, South Australia. We are now accepting applications for our 2026 apprenticeship program, commencing in February. This program provides practical experience while completing a Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (1st class Machinist).

Key Responsibilities
  • Use workshop machinery to produce components.
  • Develop skills around the use of instrumentation tools.
  • Conduct quality control checks of completed works.
  • Apply health and safety processes in the workplace.
  • Contribute to improving business culture with regards to people, process and systems.
About You
  • An ability to work individually and collaborate with others as a part of a team.
  • Effective communication, both written and verbal.
  • Behaviours that demonstrate integrity, respect, and honesty.
  • A positive outlook and enthusiasm to grow and develop in your chosen field.
