Overview

Executive Producer, Hebrew role at Special Broadcasting Service (SBS) Australia. Based in Sydney or Melbourne with hybrid working. This role oversees the editorial strategy for the Hebrew language team, including team management, supervision of production, and delivery of distinctive multi-platform content.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver the editorial strategy for the Hebrew language team.
  • Lead and manage the Hebrew production team, supervise production, and ensure delivery of high-quality, multi-platform content (radio, online, social media).
  • Write, compile, and present news, sport and current affairs in Hebrew from a variety of sources.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and maintain relationships across teams to support content production.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in professional broadcast journalism with production and presentation of multi-platform content in Hebrew.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English and Hebrew, with clear broadcast delivery. Language assessment may be required.
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, email) and digital audio editing/production software.
  • Strong administrative abilities: accuracy, numeracy, organisational skills, and ability to meet deadlines and see tasks through to completion.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet strict deadlines, and solve problems.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills and a good understanding of the Hebrew-speaking community in Australia.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain relationships with a range of stakeholders and to work from either Sydney or Melbourne studios.

This role is classified as Level 3 (annual base salary pro-rata $89,140 - $96,482) under SBS Australia's current Enterprise Agreement. The successful applicant will be offered remuneration commensurate with skills and experience in alignment with this framework.
