We are seeking to establish a pool of Middle – Upper - Years 3-6 Teachers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2025 school year and up to the end of Term 2, 2026. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The School
Bertram Primary School (PS) is an Independent Public School located in the Bertram housing subdivision south of Perth. Bertram PS has strong community and partnership links with The Smith Family, Murdoch University and the City of Kwinana. Our school values educators who are passionate about teaching and committed to student success. Applicants should be organised and possess excellent interpersonal skills. The ability to manage students with disabilities and challenging behaviours in a positive and inclusive classroom environment is also desirable.

The Role
Suitable applicants will be responsible for implementing strategies to improve student behaviour and promote a positive school culture. They will plan and deliver engaging and effective learning experiences for students and work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the high-quality delivery of the curriculum, guided by the Whole School Pedagogical Framework. As an Apple Distinguished School with a BYOD iPad program, our staff are expected to plan, share, and implement programs using technology, particularly iPads. Experience and knowledge of ICT and iPads in a learning environment is highly desirable.

Eligibility
To work with us, you must:
- hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration.
- be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
- apply for a WA Working with Children Check before you start; and
- consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.
