Overview

At Nash Plant Hire we are looking for a qualified Diesel or Plant Mechanic to join our Sydney-based service department. The role involves performing regular inspections and maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs to a wide range of plant equipment and trucks both in our workshop and onsite. Machines include telehandlers, forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts and more.

Responsibilities
  • Perform regular inspections and maintenance on plant equipment and trucks in workshop and on-site.
  • Troubleshoot and repair a wide range of equipment and trucks, including EWPs and related machinery.
  • Carry out welding and related tasks where required.
Qualifications
  • Prior experience in service, breakdown/diagnostics and repair of various plant, EWPs, equipment and trucks.
  • Welding skills are beneficial.
  • Heavy Duty Mechanic or similar Trade Certificate.
  • Self-motivated with excellent work ethic; able to work autonomously.
  • Strong focus on Safety, Quality and Customer Service.
  • Sound troubleshooting and diagnostics skills.
  • Good knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems.
  • Good time management and job recording skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; able to meet deadlines.
  • Auto Electrical knowledge is an advantage.
