We are seeking an experienced Planner to undertake the role of Principal Statutory Planner - Innovation within the Statutory Planning team.
This is an opportunity for you to work across the organisation to provide sound technical advice in relation to statutory planning processes and to lead a team.
Responsibilities Of The Role Include- Supply statutory planning services on behalf of Council.
- Ensure effective implementation and operation of the Bass Coast Shire Planning Scheme, Council Plan and other relevant Council guidelines; as well as contribute toward improving customer services functions of the team through process innovation.
- Lead your team.
a Bit About You
You will have the ability to mentor and lead a team that has a key focus on the delivery of statutory planning functions for Council along with exceptional customer service skills, working with our customers to ensure quality planning outcomes are achieved.
You Will Also Possess The Following- Knowledge of the statutory planning process including the Victorian Planning Provisions;
- Demonstrated experience in the assessment of planning applications;
- Ability to relay legislative requirements to a variety of audiences based on their knowledge level;
- Knowledge of government processes and systems;
- Ability to lead a team in planning, planning admin and process improvement expertise;
- Proven experience with implementing change to processes within a government setting; and
- Knowledge of other related legislation, policies and procedures.
