For more than 60 years, Hamilton has been satisfying customer needs by combining quality materials with skilled workmanship, ensuring the highest level of performance of every precision fluid measuring device we manufacture.

Hamilton Company is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support, repair, and maintain robotic instrumentation. The ideal candidate will work in the field supporting the Australian/New Zealand territory, preferably based in Melbourne. The role involves providing high-quality customer support through instrument installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities:
  1. Install new equipment.
  2. Perform preventative maintenance.
  3. Troubleshoot and repair Hamilton equipment.
  4. Report problems and conduct root cause analysis on instrument failures.
  5. Travel regularly within the region to customer sites, navigating efficiently and safely, adhering to traffic laws.
  6. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • A high desire for quality.
  • Experience working in the field and in corporate settings.
  • Ability to train non-technical personnel on technical material.
  • Willingness to work safely around hazardous chemicals and biologicals.
  • Ability to learn new robotic operating systems.
  • Valid Driver's License and ability to pass a motor vehicle history check.
  • Reliable personal transportation with valid registration and insurance.
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline from an accredited university preferred.
  • Or an equivalent combination of technical experience (minimum two years) in electronics, electrical, mechanical, and computer systems troubleshooting.
Experience:
  • Field service experience in life sciences, clinical, or pharmaceutical fields is preferred.
  • Experience in automation or similar fields is required.
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
  • Physical ability to lift approximately 60 lbs.
