This role supports the executive in providing leadership, high-level analysis, advice, and options to the executive leadership, governance committees, and senior leadership teams regarding digital strategy, data management, utilization, communication, and information flow.

The role drives MCCGC's digital business strategy, fostering strategic thinking, practice, investment, and planning activities to enable digital transformation, optimize service delivery impact, and enhance customer experience.

It involves identifying and building relationships with critical stakeholders to advance MCCGC's digital agenda and translating business needs into technical requirements for vendors and partners. The role also focuses on leveraging existing systems to support MCCGC's growth, emphasizing system reuse, optimization, and impact, along with delivering AI-enabled customer service experiences to increase revenue, sustainability, and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and high-level advice to the CEO, governance committees, and senior leadership on strategic data and digital opportunities and risks.
  • Drive the organisation's digital strategy and build practices for digital transformation, ensuring alignment with policies and standards.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to advance the digital agenda and translate business needs into technical requirements.
  • Oversee key digital projects, aligning initiatives with strategic priorities, resolving conflicts, and monitoring progress.
  • Contribute to team development focused on performance, innovation, and positive work environment.
  • Monitor and report on system performance and ROI of digital investments.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection, cybersecurity, and governance standards.
  • Support the Digital Team to maximize value, enhance user experience, and deliver a digital-first organisation.
  • Develop digital capabilities across MCCGC.
  • Leverage existing systems through increased adoption and automation, including AI and process reengineering.
  • Assist executive teams in developing and implementing digital projects.

Qualifications

  • Postgraduate Degree in Information Technology and/or Systems.
  • Strong systems-focused analysis skills.
  • Commitment to service quality and operational excellence.
  • Experience in data management and business systems development.
  • Ability to engage and drive change inclusively and sustainably.
  • Current Driver's License.
  • Current National Police Certificate / NDIS Worker Screening (Qld) and Working with Children Card (Qld), or ability to obtain.
