This role is to support the executive in providing leadership and high-level specialist analysis, advice, and options to the executive leadership, governance committees, and senior leadership teams regarding digital strategy, data management, utilization, communication, and information flow.

The role drives MCCGC's digital business strategy, building strategic thinking, practice, investment, and planning activities to enable digital transformation that optimizes service delivery impact and enhances customer experience.

The role involves identifying and building relationships with critical stakeholders to advance MCCGC's digital agenda and translating business needs into clear technical requirements for vendors and partners.

Business value is enhanced through leveraging existing systems, focusing on system reuse, optimization, and impact. The role also emphasizes delivering premium customer service experiences using proven AI tools to increase revenue growth, sustainability, and efficiency.

Responsibilities

  1. Provide leadership and high-level advice to the CEO, governance committees, and senior leadership on strategic data and digital opportunities and risks.
  2. Drive the organisation's digital strategy and build practices for digital transformation, ensuring alignment with policies and standards.
  3. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to advance the digital agenda and translate business needs into technical requirements.
  4. Oversee key digital projects and initiatives, aligning them with strategic priorities and monitoring their progress.
  5. Contribute to building a high-performing team focused on value, performance, and innovation.
  6. Monitor and report on system performance and ROI of digital investments.
  7. Ensure compliance with data protection, cybersecurity, and governance standards.
  8. Support the digital team to maximize value, enhance user experience, and promote a digital-first organization.
  9. Develop digital capabilities across the organization.
  10. Leverage existing systems through increased adoption and automation, including AI and process reengineering.
  11. Assist the ELT and OLT in developing and implementing digital business projects.

Qualifications

  1. Postgraduate Degree in Information Technology and/or Systems.
  2. Strong systems-focused analysis skills.
  3. Commitment to service quality and operational excellence.
  4. Experience in data management and business systems development.
  5. Ability and initiative to drive change inclusively and sustainably.
  6. Current Driver's License.
  7. Current National Police Certificate / NDIS Worker Screening (Qld) and Working with Children card (Qld), or ability to obtain.
