Physiotherapist Level 1/2

We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Level 1/2 Physiotherapist to join the Physiotherapy Rehabilitation and Aged Care service at Port Kembla Hospital. This is a Temporary Part Time role of 20 hours per week until 4 January 2026, with a salary range of $37.03 – $52.83 per hour plus 12% super and salary packaging.
Role focus: gym-based therapy delivered to a wide range of rehabilitation clients using both individual and group formats. You will work alongside physiotherapists and allied health assistants, participate in service development and quality improvement initiatives, and support clinical excellence in outpatient physiotherapy services.
The successful applicant should have clinical skills in rehabilitation, frailty, falls prevention and the ability to work closely with the multidisciplinary team.
Location: Port Kembla Hospital (PKH). Applications close: 23 September 2025.
Responsibilities- Provide gym-based rehabilitation therapies to a diverse client population, using individual and group formats.
- Collaborate with physiotherapists and allied health assistants to deliver high-quality outpatient services.
- Engage in service development and quality improvement initiatives to enhance clinical practice.
- Contribute to multidisciplinary team care and coordinate with other services as needed.
- Applicable vaccination requirements for a Category A role.
- Working With Children Check (WWCC).
- Current AHPRA Registration.
- Valid NSW Driver's Licence.
This is a temporary leave relief position until 4 January 2026 with the possibility of extension.

About ISLHDISLHD is part of the Shellharbour Hospital and Integrated Services Project and serves the Port Kembla area. The new Community Health Centre is being built on the Port Kembla Hospital site and will integrate a range of services including community mental health, drug and alcohol, community nursing, and child and family services. Until the new Community Centre is complete, some allied health services will operate from the Port Kembla Hospital site.
