Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Business Intelligence Engineer to join our Information Technology and Solution Services (ITSS) team on a 12-month fixed term contract. You'll play a key role in delivering end-to-end BI solutions, from conducting requirements analysis to developing data models, dashboards, and reports.

Responsibilities
  • Designing and implementing ETL processes and data models
  • Creating dashboards and reports using Power BI and other Microsoft tools
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to understand and deliver on data needs
  • Ensuring data governance and security compliance
  • Troubleshooting integration issues and providing technical support

You'll work in an Azure environment and be involved in data sourcing, modelling, cleansing, and visualisation.

You are a data-driven problem solver with a strong technical foundation and a collaborative mindset. You're excited by the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects in a values-led organisation.

Qualifications
  • A graduate degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
  • ITIL Certification
  • 3+ years of experience in software development and data solutions
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with Power BI, SSRS, Power Apps, and Microsoft Reporting Services
  • Strong SQL Server and DAX skills
  • Experience with Azure Data Factory, ETL tools, and data modelling
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Knowledge of Azure data tools (Databricks, Data Lake)
  • Knowledge of Python or R desirable but not essential
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools (GitHub, PowerShell, Azure Bicep)
