Overview

The Swim School Instructor delivers swimming lessons to a wide variety of ages and abilities. Successful applicants will be effective communicators who demonstrate a strong attention to detail. You will possess strong time management and organisational skills, and the ability to work well in a team environment with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver swimming lessons to a wide variety of ages and abilities
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents and colleagues and maintain strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrate strong time management and organisational skills
  • Work well in a team environment with minimal supervision
  • Available to teach during school hours to support school groups
Skills & Attributes
  • Energetic, innovative and decisive teaching style
  • Excellent verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work mornings, evenings and weekends and be empathetic to the needs of the classes
  • Ability to work independently and as a valuable part of a team
Qualifications
  • Current First Aid (Level 2) & Current CPR certificate
  • Working With Children Check (or equivalent) & National Police Check
  • Current AUSTSWIM Certificate - or equivalent

New to teaching? If you have recently completed a swimming instructor course and wish to undertake your required training at AVLC, please contact the Centre.
