This is a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy swimming, working with children, and teaching water safety skills.

The Role

As a Swimming Teacher, you will teach effective swimming and water safety to help grow our swim program. You may be required to work mornings, evenings, and weekends. Empathy towards the needs of the classes is essential.

You should have a passion for swimming and making children safer around water. The ideal candidate is energetic, dynamic, outgoing, and fun, with excellent communication skills and a commitment to customer service. You will interact effectively with students of diverse ages, abilities, cultures, and needs.

Skills & Attributes:

  1. Energetic, innovative, and decisive teaching style
  2. Excellent verbal communication skills
  3. Understanding of OHS and public safety applications within your facility
  4. Ability to work mornings, evenings, and weekends with empathy towards class needs
  5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  6. Current First Aid (Level 2) & CPR Certificate (Provided)
  7. Working With Children Check (or equivalent) & National Police Check
  8. Current Swimming and Water Safety Teacher Certificate (Provided)
  9. AUSTSWIM Teacher of Infant and Preschool Aquatics (Desirable)
  10. AUSTSWIM Teacher of Aquatics Access and Inclusion (Desirable)
  11. Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential
