About the role

We have a fantastic opportunity in our Tenterfield Retail Store for an experienced, enthusiastic and organised self-starter to join our team on a permanent part-time basis. The hours are 8:00am to 5:00pm on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, and every second Saturday from 8:00am to 11:30am.

Your day-to-day activities will include

  • Provide agricultural advisory and sales service to clients and build business partnerships with our customer base through sound technical advice.
  • Proactively source new customers to achieve branch KPI's and sales targets.
  • Inventory management, including ordering, receipting, stocktake and dispatch.
  • Processing of sales and generating quotes.
  • Delivering products to customers.

About you

You will need to be enthusiastic and self-motivated, with great customer service and sales experience (experience within the Ag Industry is highly desirable). You should be able to meet deadlines while balancing a range of work and have a keen interest in an agricultural environment.

Skills and experience required

  • Strong customer service experience.
  • Experience in sales from within the Agri industry (highly desirable).
  • Experience working in a rural retail and warehousing environment (highly desirable).
  • Demonstrated understanding of the rural industry.
  • Technical skills in Agricultural Science, Animal Health or Agronomy is an advantage.
  • Demonstrated excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
  • Computer literacy including Microsoft Office, POS and administration skills.
  • Physically fit to perform manual handling tasks.
  • A strong focus on Work Health & Safety.
  • Driver's licence essential.
  • Forklift licence or willingness to obtain one.
