Key Account Manager

This role is important because the relationships we build with our brands determine the value we can deliver to our customers and the business as a whole.

This role is right for you if you:

  • have a proven track record of account management and/or as a distribution buyer for FMCG products,
  • love the negotiation process, and
  • believe that building genuine relationships that become real win-win partnerships is the approach that leads to great business outcomes.

What you would do

  • Build and maintain a relationship with our suppliers as the direct point of contact for the brands;
  • Run a regular call cycle with our brands to collaborate on new partnership opportunities, sales promotions and marketing opportunities and resolve any issues on either side;
  • Negotiate terms and distributorship agreements with both new and existing brands;
  • Collaborate with the Product, Finance, and Operations teams to evaluate brand and product performance;
  • Identify new brands and opportunities and collaborate with the Product team to evaluate and onboard new brands;
  • Collaborate with the Brands and the Marketing team to develop and implement promotional strategies and joint business plans;
  • Provide regular and ad-hoc reports and insights to brands and internal stakeholders;
  • Participate at vital.ly events and trade and association events to gather brand leads.

Requirements to apply for the role

  • Minimum 3 years of demonstrated experience as a key account management and/or as a distributor buyer for FMCG products;
  • Experience and understanding of the Complementary Health sector or FMCG business in Australia;
  • Demonstrated skills in trading term or selling negotiation;
  • Strong numeracy and analytical skills;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Must have experience with FMCG products;
  • Australian Permanent Resident or Citizen with the current right to work in Australia.
